Mother’s Womb Should be a Safe Space

To the editor:

The most dangerous place on Earth – Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, Israel, Chicago – They don’t even come close.

Shielded from the outside world, a mother’s womb should be the safest place on earth. However, according to the Gutmacher Institute, 66,459,981 babies have been aborted in the U.S. since 1973. That’s over a million pre-mediated murders every year.

Is there any other political, social or environmental issue that should even come close to influencing how we should vote?

You can word it however you want – Pro-Choice, Reproductive Rights, Rights to Your Own Body, etc. All euphemisms aside, there is no way around the fact that abortion is the murder of a completely defenseless human being.

If our vote, or failure to vote, supports politicians that promote abortion, we are an accessory before the fact of murder.

The sanctity of life should be a fundamental moral principle of every human being regardless of race, religion or political affiliation.

Please allow that principle to determine who you vote for this and every election to come.

To my fellow Christians, please meditate on the following scriptures.

Ps. 139: 13-16, Pr. 6: 16-19, Pr. 24: 11-12
