The Light of Republicans

To the editor:

A Reply To Last Week’s Letter To The Editor Titled “Joy And Hope” I do agree that it is more natural to be drawn to the light as well as to those people whose light shines so brightly that you can’t help but want to be around them. They bring joy into your life. They are positive, they care about their family, their country, their jobs and opportunities, they want to work to support themselves, they pay their taxes to help our country have what it needs to “run”.

However, that light can dim sometimes – When with one stroke of a pen the President can put thousands of people out of work when he shuts down a pipeline in progress just because he can.

When the President ends a war abruptly that causes the unnecessary death of 13 of our country’s finest soldiers along with other people and results in US citizens being imprisoned just because he can.

When the President doesn’t have a plan to rescue those citizens left behind just because he doesn’t create one.

When the President leaves millions of dollars of US equipment for our enemies to claim just because he can.

When the current Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates – Harris and Walz -- espouse that abortion is a “reproductive right” when in truth, it is the killing of a baby. If you have never researched what actually happens during and after an abortion, I urge you to do some research. It will tear your heart out and make you sick to your stomach.

When the candidates believe that taxpayers should pay for abortions and provide transportation for pregnant women to get to an abortion center even if it requires flying to another state, staying in a hotel, etc.

When the candidates believe that taxpayers should pay for sex change surgery for felons who are imprisoned. Google Kamala Harris and you will find an interview wherein she says just that.

When millions of illegals are invited and allowed to come into our great country. Disregarding a vetting process for the past 3-1/2 years has been a slap in the face to law abiding US citizens and to those immigrants who have come “the right way.”

When illegals are allowed to come to the US, get free medical care and housing on the US taxpayers’ dollar.

When illegals cross the border and destroy the homes, livestock and peace of mind of folks who live on or near the border have worked hard to build a home, raise their livestock, and make a safe life for themselves.

When violent criminals are allowed into our country.

I could go on and on, but I think I have made my point.

We cannot have four more years of the same kind of administration. If you are thinking about darkness, four more years is exactly what we will have.

I choose light.
