LG City Matters
To the editor:
Citizens of La Grange, as your community activist, I was thrilled to see the participation at the last city council meeting. Among the topics of complaints were the location of the bypass and wind turbines. However, I feel that while these are very important to our local county, they do not directly affect the City of La Grange.
I am really afraid if Tx-DOT gets involved in these matters, La Grange will suffer. For example … look at the great concrete flower box idea. As far as I’m concerned, not only is it an eye sore, but it takes our dedicated city employees much labor and time to clean them out since they are being used mostly as a trash receptacle. These employees could be doing something much more important such as keeping the drains clean and also Roto- Rootering them.
I have been very impressed by our city manager, JT. He is really working for the people. And our mayor, Jan Dockery “JD” is really marketing our little town as a great place to live.
God bless you and God bless America!
