Kudos to Mayor
To the Editor:
As a permanent resident of our wonderful small town of Round Top, I just want to thank our great Mayor, Judith Vincent, for dedicating her time to guide our community. Her commitment to making sure our budget is balanced, and our projects get completed is over and above what is required.
When Judith became Mayor, the bathrooms were already being constructed. She could see that they would not be ready for use for the Fall Antique Show crowds since no one was lined up for concrete work nor landscaping. As the responsible person she is, she made sure the concrete for walkway got scheduled and that landscaping to complete beautification was in. She also had a contractor in the area fix all the broken concrete tables that sit in the square around the Courthouse so they didn’t injure someone, and that same contractor rebuilt the gazebo/ bandstand that was falling down and had an electrician make sure all wiring (that had been cut by mowers) was fixed. The contractor donated these services to the town.
Her actions show her love for our town, and benefits not only those of us living inside the one square mile, but all those who call Round Top home.
With regard to the dramatic Andy Behlen articles regarding the Courthouse, I’ve attended the meetings he referenced and heard Mayor Vincent state that “There Is No Plan” for the Courthouse. She not only stated this once, but at least four other times.
Thank you Mayor Vincent.
