Hell Has Open Borders
To the editor:
Last week there was a WSJ headline: “Joe Biden Evaporates but His Bureaucrats Don’t.” The commentary included the following observations: “Suddenly in 2024 we have a Democratic candidate insisting that she won’t carry out her progressive party’s most sought-after regulatory goals.” “Ms. Harris’s abandonment of her party’s regulation priorities is transparent opportunism, and surely temporary.APresident Harris standing up to the congressional left will never happen.” “According to calculations by the American Action Forum, which monitors federal regulations, the projected costs of the Biden administration’s finalized rules so far is a record $1.68 trillion, compared with total costs in the Obama years of $327.3 billion.” And finally, “there was no credible evidence she would reverse the massive growth in regulatory costs during the Biden, and Harris, years.”
Actions speak louder than words. While Harris tells the National Association of Black Journalists “I feel safe. I have Secret Service protection, but that doesn’t change my perspective on the importance of fighting for the safety of everybody in our country and doing everything we can to lift people up…”. What about the safety of the unaccompanied minors that have been released from custody at the border? The Texas Minute reported, “A detailed report by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services explainedthatU.S.ImmigrationandCustomsEnforcement is unable to track unaccompanied minors once they are released from custody”. Their whereabouts are virtually unknown. The number of “lost” children is reported over 290,000.”
Mr. Borders in his Capital Highlights column referred to the Venezuelan Gang that has been designated a Terrorist Organization by Abbott and has been reported active in El Paso and Dallas. How did they get here? Answer: the Biden-Harris administration’s incentives and the “border czar’s” open borders.
I am reminded of a picture of a message board in front of a church that said, “Heaven has an immigration policy. Hell has open borders.”
We are currently witnessing the failure of the Biden-Harris overreach and rejection of U.S. immigration law. The House of Representatives has passed a resolution “condemning 15 Biden-Harris officials for their roles in the deadly withdrawal” from Afghanistan. The resolution makes clear, “The Biden-Harris administration can no longer sweep their disaster under the rug.” (Congressman Michael McCaul.)
Harris cannot distance herself from the disastrous policies of the Biden-HarrisAdministration.
Biden told ABC’s The View, on Wednesday, Sept. 25, regarding Harris, “As VP there wasn’t a single thing that I did that she couldn’t do. I was able to delegate to her anything from foreign policy and domestic policy.”
Regarding the economy, “The world faces a growing energy crisis with severe economic, humanitarian, and security consequences. This is the direct result of climate policies aimed at dismantling U.S. fossil fuel production while claiming to “save” the climate.”
“Electricity prices are rising in states with renewable-portfolio standards.” According to Roberts, from the Heritage Foundation speaking to the NYT, “the Biden-Harris administration is not just dishonest about its climate agenda, it’s decreeing policies that will crush the middle class with hidden costs. Gas taxes, electric vehicle mandates, and crippling EPA regulations are driving up energy prices and creating an artificial energy scarcity.” So much for “safety, empathy, freedom and uniting.”
“Think before you vote.” Look at candidate’s political service records.
Regarding Scripture, I believe Heaven’s immigration policy is explained in John 3:16 and Acts 4:12. The Apostle Paul explains to Timothy, in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is Godbreathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training…” “All the Scriptures explain” concerning the Jesus of Nazareth (Luke 19-27). Hebrews 3:13 “Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘today’, so that none of you may be hardened by deceitfulness.” 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord … is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish….”
