Haley Lacking, Trump’s Been Treated Unfairly

To the Editor:

Since I subscribe to Shakespeare’s philosophy that “brevity is the soul of wit,” I am not going to address all the contradictions I found in Mr. Romberg’s Feb. 16 letter. First, forget the polls. The only ones that count are the ones at the ballot box. I know Mr. Romberg is old enough to remember “Dewey Defeats Truman.”

Haley would have to start with solid Republican backing nationwide to win the Presidency; and based on her performance thus far, I doubt she can even win over the Republicans in her home state.

What was that thing down on the border that Biden has been cutting and welding open? It reminded me of a fence. When did that thing appear? Is it something left over from antiquity?

As to Trump’s comments about our “justice” system, even the most rabid leftist should have to admit Trump has been the victim of the much-discussed twotiered system. Compare, for instance, allegations and investigations made against Trump and Biden concerning classified materials. It is not “justice” if it does not apply equally to all.

And, of all people, I would expect Mr. Romberg to know we live in a republic, not a democracy.
