Cowboy Church in Muldoon to Host Special Guest Christine Scott in March
The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is preparing for a special guest on March 30, Christine J. Scott. Make plans and mark your calendars to come out to enjoy some great Christian music. SG2C will also be hosting a big “Sunday Vittles” after the morning worship service that day. They are currently making a list of who might bring what, but if you would like to join in the feast that day, just bring along your favorite dish to share with the crowd. It is sure to be a spirit-filled day.
The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church held the drawing for their fundraising Valentine Baskets. ShaeAnn Robbins won the ladies basket of goodies and Raymond Moreno won the men’s basket. In the end the winners were the ROPE kids by bringing in over $1,000 with this fundraiser.
Everyone is invited to The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church on any Sunday morning beginning at 9:30 a.m. with coffee and sweet treats along with some socializing before the 10 a.m. Sunday morning worship services. This is the chance to come and join in this fast-growing church. They are a welcoming church that is working hard to honor God in all their services. SG2C has a youth group service on Wednesday nights from 6-8 p.m. It is a great way for any area youth ages 13-18 years old to spend a Wednesday evening.
Attends World Ag Expo James and I along with our son, Bobby Ivy took off to attend the 2025 World Ag Expo in Tulare, Calif. recently. We first had to stop in Yuma, Ariz. to celebrate Hazel Keaton’s 3rd birthday with a “Three-esta.” It was fun getting to visit with Hazel’s parents, Jake and Keaton before heading on to Brawley, California, to spend a couple days with cousins, Patty and John Keaton.
We joined up with Patty and John to travel through Los Angeles on up to Tulare where we were among thousands to attend Tuesday’s opening day activities. There were acres and acres of farming related products to browse through: everything from the latest autonomous equipment, to drones of all sorts, tractors and tools of all sorts. There was so much to see and it was impossible to see it all in just one day. John found some things for his hay hauling business which made the trip successful.
Out and About
Recently, Nancie Blair teamed up with Kim Bonewald, her daughter Katlin Stubbs, and Tricia Grist to take a little trip to Georgetown for Nancie to pick up her sewing machine that was being repaired. They took advantage of being in a quilt shop and did a little shopping while they were at it.
Nancie and Billy Blair also got to enjoy a quick visit from Nancie’s sister and brother-inlaw, Lu and Fred Ginapp from the Fort Worth area. They had a nice dinner and a wonderful time catching up.
Recently, Pam Sheffield entertained her two high school friends, Susi Jones and Holly Skinner-Klee. Holly came in from Kingwood and she and Pam drove to College Station the next day to pick up Susi from her son‘s house. The three had a fun lunch together and traveled back to Muldoon. They went to La Grange to eat at their favorite restaurant, Las Fuentes, and then did their grocery shopping at HEB. Once back at Pam‘s house, they watched movies and played dominoes and listened to their favorite 70s music. These three friends always have life events to catch up on and have lots of laughs together. They’ve shared a friendship for 50 years.
Neighborhood Watch
Please be vigilant while out and about in the area. A stranger was pictured trying to enter a Muldoon property that was not his. The word went out to all the neighbors and everyone is on alert for individuals who are making attempts to gain access to places they do not have permission to be.
Be sure to look over at your neighbors’ place when passing by. If you see anything out of the ordinary be sure and give them a call. It is best to be safe and double check all is well.
Also make an effort to check in on your elderly neighbors. They might be in need of a little help. Temperatures have been cold lately with night temps in the teens and twenties. This might have caused them to have some kind of issue or they might need a little help grabbing some groceries. We all need to pull together as a small community. Have News?
