Court Neglects Duty

To the Editor:

We have all been instructed to a certain degree that there are three branches of the government: Legislative, Executive and Judicial. Each has a part in the government to protect this nation from attacks from abroad or internal.

If you examine each branch of government you quickly notice that the Executive and Legislative branches seem to be the only working aspects of the government. It appears that the Supreme Court, aka Judicial branch, has isolated itself from the main bodies of government. For some reason they have relegated responsibilities to minor judicial authorities. The judicial branch of government has never included all of the minor growths of various judicial districts. Nor did the constitution yield power to all judicial, minor judges, to have ultimate power over the other two branches of the government.

In these times we see the Executive Branch pursuing actions that somehow have come to the attention of a lower branch of government. A ruling was made from this lower judicial court thinking that they have just as much standing as both the Executive and Legislative branches. The only way for this to happen is if the Supreme Court has removed themselves from making any decisions and relegated their own responsibilities to minor courts.

It is high time for the Supreme Court to stand up and say they are the only true Judicial Branch of government and become part of this nation. As it stands now, lower courts are emboldened to take matters into their own hands and make decisions they were never intended to make. I would hope that the true third branch of government would exercise its place in the governance process and not rely on judges who possibly overstepped their boundaries.
