Clown Circus Democracy
The the editor:
Little Donnie Bonespur, blood brother of Tsar Putin, and Joe B. Woke are the main party selections for the Presidency. Polls say that neither is wanted, but that sentiment did NOT deter voters, including Fayette County voters, despite better choices. Seemingly the plea is “stop us before we vote for liars, criminals and doofuses again.”
Some democracy!
The issues and dangers of deranged democracy are well documented – by classical Greeks 2500 years ago. Socrates explained that “Democracy is only as good as the education that surrounds it,” and that speaks directly to the woeful inadequacies of the present day.
In our local elections, Tim Greeson ran against first term Representative Stan Kitzman because Mr. Kitzman joined the overwhelming majority of Texas House legislators to impeach our criminal Attorney General, Ken Paxton. Mr. Kitzman was reelected, but an amazing 30.33% of Fayette County Republicans voted for Mr. Greeson because they are upset that Mr. Kitzman does not like criminals in public office!
Reviewing, following the impeachment, our corrupt good-ol’-boy-and-girl Senate Republicans voted in clown circus lockstep, including our own Senator Lois Kolkhorst, to keep our criminal AG in office.
Political parties that cannot police their own and delete obvious corrupt and criminal elements from their ranks do not deserve respect. On top of his several legal problems, AG Paxton perverted conservative principles filing frivolous lawsuits AGAINST OTHER STATES concerning matters that are clearly within the purview of those states by the Tenth Amendment to our Constitution in a cynical attempt to overturn an election that Little Donnie lost by a wide margin.
For those unfamiliar with our corrupt AG, please google the following lengthy timeline of the rot in Austin: “newswest9 timeline: the legal woes of Texas Attorney General”. These are the reasons that the Texas Bar Association filed suit against Paxton for his “pattern of professional misconduct.”
Back on the national scene, we find chaotic House Republicans preventing aid to Ukraine. The leading terrorist force in the 21st century is Russia, causing massive destruction and death. Republicans initiated and were willing to throw away trillions of dollars attempting to civilize third-world Muslims, and now refuse to aid a modern democracy fighting a monster? Come on, man!
Concerning Joe B Woke, he is a huge debt spendthrift and he is part of our long-term economic risk that we do not have to take, but there are three issues in his favor: (1) Democrats are firmly behind the Ukraine in their war for democracy and against terror; (2) Democrats have not attempted sedition against the Government of the United States of America; and (3) Little Donnie Republicans, for all their bluster, proved that they are also big debt folks.
There are third party candidates. Without some substantial improvements, it may not be long when one of them puts an end to the current detrimental impacts of the Democratic and Little Donnie Republican parties.
Lessons:
• Criminals and obsessive liars are bad candidates, stop supporting and voting for them
• Our Constitution and laws are important, obey them
• Fayette County Christians on the pages of the Record who want Christian leaders - stop bloviating and start voting for honest Christians.
