Carmine Heritage Committee to Meet Wednesday
The Carmine Heritage Committee will meet on Wednesday, June 2 at 10 a.m. in the museum. Discussion will center on Special Memories of the First 100 Years – Celebrations, Tragedies, and Unusual Happenings.
All are welcome to attend. The more ideas presented, the better the discussion.
RT-C School News
RT-C has posted a list on their website for summer opportunities for students in various grades. They include a band program, basketball camp, cheer camp, Junior and Senior Beta Club service days, open gym, events at Round Top Family Library, strength and conditioning, and volleyball camp.
Combined Family Reunion
The Eichler and Kieke families will have a combined reunion on Sunday, June 6 at 11 a.m. at the La Bahia Hall with a noon catered meal. Drinks will be provided. Condolences
Sympathy is extended to the family of Johnny Dunham, who passed away on May 18. His funeral service was at Martin Luther Lutheran Church on May 22. He helped with many fundraisers in Carmine.
Carmine VFD
Carmine Volunteer Fire Department drill night is June 10.
They are planning their annual Feast and Fundraiser on July 18 with a drive-thru fried chicken meal. More information will be coming soon.

Ledbetter Homecoming
Ledbetter Homecoming is scheduled for Sunday, June 13 at Ledbetter Firemen’s Park. A drive-thru fried fish dinner will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tickets are pre-sale only and are available from Ledbetter Volunteer Fire Department members, at Carmine State Bank, and at Round Top State Bank in both Round Top and Giddings. A bake sale will benefit the Ledbetter Homemakers’ Club.
Probst Casino Night
Carmine Chamber of Commerce will sponsor their Probst Casino Night with a German theme on Saturday, Aug. 14 at the Carmine Hall. They will be selling tables and individual tickets. Watch for more information.
MLLC News
Saturday worship with Holy Communion is at 6 p.m.
Sunday School meets Sunday at 9 a.m.
Sunday worship with Holy Communion, observing second Sunday after Pentecost, is at 10 a.m. The service will also be on the mllccarmine.com website. The Rev. David Tinker is the pastor.
Recycling Trailer
The recycling trailer is at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from noon until 4 p.m.
Attendants are available to help unload dry newspapers, telephone books, magazines, cardboard, paper, junk mail, clean no. 1 and no. 2 food grade plastics (milk cartons should be separated from other plastic), all colors glass, steel food cans, and aluminum cans.
The trailer is in Ledbetter from 8:30-11 a.m., also on Thursdays, behind the Ledbetter Fireman’s Hall.
Visitors’ Center
Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot is open on the second and fourth Fridays and Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
