La Grange Sweeps Giddings in Basketball Doubleheader

The La Grange girls basketball team went to Giddings and destroyed Giddings 7323 Tuesday led by a 22-point night from Kylie Trlicek, 18 from Campbell Cooper and 17 from Landri Hernandez. The Lady Leps (22-10 overall and 6-2 in district) host Caldwell Friday at 5:45 p.m.

Cabrera Shines on the Soccer Field for Leps

La Grange High School junior Jeffrey Cabrera has emerged as a star for the Leps soccer team this season, a year after suffering a serious knee injury. He had goals in each of the Leps’ district wins last week as they have started 2-2 in district play and are 6-5-1 overall.

La Grange Swim Team Impresses At District Meet

The La Grange High School swim team made waves at the District 14-4A swim meet on Jan. 24, competing against strong programs from Davenport, Wimberley, Comal Canyon Lake, Columbus, and Travis. Despite the odds, La Grange held its own, earning a commendable 4thplace finish overall. The meet highlighted the challenges smaller teams face, such as traveling for practice and limited access to local pools, but the Leopards rose to the occasion, showcasing their talent and determination.

Lady Horns Shine With Legends Watching

After a pre-game peptalk from two hall-of-fame coaches, the Schulenburg girls basketball team went out and grabbed a 44-20 victory over Ganado for their own hall-offame coach Larry Tidwell that clinched a playoff berth.
