La Grange native J.K. Dobbins has been named a finalist for the Associated Press Comeback Player of the Year Award in the NFL.

Dobbins was limited to just one game in 2023 when he tore his Achilles. Dobbins responded in 2024 by promptly setting career highs in rushing yards (905) and scrimmage yards (1,058) with the Chargers and tied his personal best with nine rushing touchdowns.

Despite missing four games with a knee injury, the 26-year-old still finished in the top 10 of the AFC in rushing yards and touchdowns.
