The stellar season for the Round Top-Carmine volleyball team came to an end in the state semifinals Tuesday in a four set loss to Neches. The Cubettes finish the season 27-19.

Quality over quantity. That’s been the recipe for the early success for the La Grange girls basketball team, which improved to 4-1 this season with a 65-31 victory over 5A Cedar Creek Tuesday at home.
It was an exciting season opener for the La Grange basketball team as the Leps and Fayetteville went back-andforth before a fourth quarter surge vaulted the Lions to a 76-61 victory. Fayetteville looked every bit like a team capable to returning to the state tournament like they did last year.
