Led by 13 points from Summer Sodek and 10 from Allie Uzzel, the Flatonia girls beat Cuero 44-38 in basketball Friday. Lady Leps Fall to Thrall by Nine

The La Grange girls basketball team lost to Thrall 4334 at home Friday to fall to 4-2 overall this season. Kylie Trlicek led the Lady Leps in scoring with 11 points, Campbell Cooper scored nine and Kaylee Holmes had seven.

LHS Makes a Splash in Belton

The La Grange Swim Team showcased their strength and determination at the 4th Annual Roy and Jean Potts Invitational in Belton on November 16th. Competing against 16 teams—nine of which represented formidable 5Aand 6Aschools. Despite the tough competition, the team delivered impressive perfor-mances— La Grange emerged as a standout, finishing 3rd overall and claiming the title of the highest-placing 4A school at the meet. The girls placed second overall with a score of a 299 only getting edged out by 5A Hendrickson with a 308. The boys finished 6th overall with a score of 166 behind 5A Leander Glenn, 5A Lake Belton, 5A Hendrickson, 5A Belton and 6A Shoemaker High.

Brooks Scores 21 As Leps Beat Sealy

The La Grange boys basketball team grabbed its first victory of the season Saturday, beating Sealy 53-43. Sophomore Conner Brooks led the Leps in scoring with 21 points, junior Cole Collier had 10 and Cordale Knapik seven.

Sweet Send-Off for the State Semifinalists

Tuesday night’s state semifinal volleyball game didn’t go Round Top-Carmine’s way (the Cubettes lost to Neches in four sets in Normangee) but it wasn’t from a lack of support. The RTC faithful treated the team to a festive pep rally before they left for the game.
The male RTC athletes grabbed pom-poms and led a cheer for the team during the pep rally.

LG’s J.K. Dobbins Continues to Shine With the Chargers

La Grange native J.K. Dobbins continues to impress at the NFL level. In Sunday night’s 34-27 win over Cincinnati, Dobbins ran for 56 yards and two touchdowns including the game winner, a 29-yard touchdown run with 18 seconds left in the game. The former Ravens secondround pick is the AFC’s third-leading rusher with 726 yards, trailing Baltimore’s Derrick Henry (1,185 yards) and Houston’s Joe Mixon (764), who have both played one game more than the Chargers’ top rusher.
