Carolyn Osina is Seton Honoree

St. Rose of Lima Catholic School 24th Annual Saint Mother Elizabeth Ann Seton Honoree was awarded to Carolyn Osina by Bishop Brendan Cahill on Thursday, March 24, at the 2022 Diocese of Victoria awards dinner ceremony at the Shiner K of C Hall. Osina has been a long time benefactor of St. Rose School as a parent, board member, and as an employee (now retired). She is an alumni of St. Rose and Sacred Heart HS in Hallettsville, as are all her children. She is a charter and 30 year member of the Friends for Catholic Education which supports children attending both St. Rose and Sacred Heart. She has served as President and Secretary of FFCE, and also served on the St. Rose Advisory Council. The Osinas demonstrate a life of service that their children carry forward. Members of their family have chaired the hamburger stand at St. John Picnic for 17 years, starting when Larry and Carolyn were St. Rose parents, continuing as their children are now St. Rose parents. Every year, Osina organizes a successful pig-in-a-blanket sale benefiting the school. She also hosts a pancake breakfast at the start of Catholic Schools Week in the school cafeteria. St. Rose school and HSA are grateful for Mrs. Osina’s generosity and service.
