Remember Egg Hunt at Monument Hill

But the Easter Fire Will Probably Not Happen

Easter festivities will go on at Monument Hill/Kreische Brewery State Historic Site Saturday April 16.

Beginning at 5 p.m. bring your own picnic dinner and enjoy the views from the Bluff. The egg hunt, inspired by the traditions of the Bluff Schuetzenverein, begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Stop by in the afternoon to check out living history demonstrations from noon to 4 p.m. Learn how eggs were dyed, food was prepared, and meats smoked in the late 19th century.

Attendants will be charged our regular admission prices.

Free for Friends Members

$4 for Adults

$3 for Students and Seniors

Free for Children 5 and Under

Of Note: An Osterfeuer, or Easter bonfire, was originally planned for this event; however, the anticipated ongoing dry conditions and a burn ban will likely prevent staff from hosting the bonfire this year.
