The Polka Lovers Club of Texas Museum (PLCTM) is hosting two Christmas Open Houses in conjunction with the Texas Czech Heritage Cultural Center on Saturday December 2 and Saturday, December 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Painting the Charms of Schulenburg in New Exhibit

Ever look out your car window at a Schulenburg sunrise and think “I should take a picture of that…” or “…our farm is really beautiful”? Professional artists from near and far will be in Schulenburg to compete in the Have You Painted Yet? Competition from November 29 through December 2 will be painting the charms of Schulenburg and the surrounding areas. Chances are, these artists will like the same scenes you like.

Christmas at Winedale Slated Saturday, Dec. 9

Faith Lutheran Church Christmas Concert to Feature Kist By Grace

Kist By Grace, a Christian Praise and Worship band based in Orchard, will be performing an Advent-Christmas concert on Saturday, Dec. 9, beginning at 4 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 615 South Eagle, Weimar. Following the concert, attendees are invited to come to Faith’s Fellowship Hall for refreshments and celebration of the season. Enjoy the Christmas decorations, great music by the band, and refreshments as we celebrate the Christ of Christmas.

New Rotary Members Welcomed

Three new members were welcomed into the La Grange Rotary Club on Nov. 8. Club president Kyle Hartmann presented each with a blue apron for serving at club fundraisers: the annual county fair hamburger booth, Oktoberfest, and the pancake supper.

Muldoon Roadways Receive Facelift

M The roadways in and around the Muldoon area are looking much more manicured following the highway mowers coming through and cleaning up all the tall grass along the roadside. There also was a highway contract crew who came through and cleaned up a lot of the brush that was starting to encroach on the roadways.
