Retired Teachers Association Participates in LGISD Welcome Back to School Community Fair

Members of the Fayette County Retired Teachers Association (FCRTA) were pleased to participate in the La Grange ISD Welcome Back to School Community Fair on July 29, joining community organizations in welcoming educators and staff as they prepared for the start of the 2026-2027 school year.

The annual event provided an excellent opportunity for FCRTA members to visit with teachers, administrators, and school staff while sharing information about the association’s mission, community involvement, scholarship program, and membership opportunities. The event also allowed members to reconnect with familiar faces and welcome educators who are new to the district. The drawing for the FCRTA basket with the purple tumbler was won by Crystal Perez, 7th grade Pre-Algebra and 8th grade Math teacher, at La Grange Middle School.

The Fayette County Retired Teachers Association is committed to supporting public education, advocating for retired educators, and giving back to the communities they have served throughout their careers.

FCRTA extends its sincere appreciation to La Grange ISD for hosting this outstanding community event and for recognizing the value of bringing together organizations that support education and the community.

The association wishes all teachers, administrators, and school staff a rewarding, suc-cessful, and inspiring 20262027 school year. FCRTA looks forward to continuing its partnership with local schools and supporting educational initiatives throughout Fayette County.
