The La Grange volleyball team improved its record to 7-3 by going 6-3 at the Wimberley Tournament Thursday-Saturday. The Lady Leps beat Round Rock Christian Academy, Long Creek, Stockdale, Blanco, Savio and Victoria East.

Leopard football fans looking for things to be excited about found plenty to cheer for in Friday’s first preseason scrimmage by La Grange. After some early struggles against a big El Campo squad, both the La Grange offense and defense got better as the scrimmage went on.

Fayette County swimmers made waves at the 2025 Games of Texas held in College Station, proudly representing Region 5 and the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF). This annual state-level event showcases top athletes from across Texas who qualify through regional competitions in a wide range of sports, including swimming, track and field, soccer, and more.

New La Grange volleyball coach Ryan O’Neal has inherited a very experienced team. That could bode well for the Lady Leps hopes of making a long postseason run.

After hitting one another the last two weeks, the La Grange football team will finally get a chance to hit somebody else as the Leps host El Campo Friday in the first preseason scrimmage. Subvarsities will scrimmage at 5:30 p.m. with the varsities beginning about 7 p.m.

The Weimar Vets traveled to Voekel/Koether field in La Grange Sunday to face the Serbin Jackrabbits in the Championship game. A tight game in the first seven innings was due to good pitching and defense by both teams. In the top of the eighth, with one out, Mark Revilla walked and went first to third on a wild pitch. Next up, Kyle Peschel singled to center to score Revilla. In the bottom of the ninth, with the bases loaded, pitcher Matt Sandoval fielded a ground ball, threw to Kyle Peschel, catcher, who fired the throw to first for a game ending double play. Final score was Vets 1, Serbin 0.
