Lady Leps Pound Giddings The La Grange softball team blasted Giddings Thursday 12-1 as Teagan Branch smacked a grand slam homer. Haylie Cooper had two hits and two RBIs and Sarah Kay and Haedyn Cooper both drove in two.

Fayetteville Basketball Honorees

Here are the Fayetteville basketball players honored on their all-district team: • MVP - Keagan Supak • Defensive MVP - Easton Jaeger • 1st team - Lawson Fritsch, Jake Kubala • 2nd team - Brody Dooley, Mason Fenhaus • Keagan Supak and Easton Jaeger were named to the TABC all state.

Sporting Clays Event April 18 Supports Grassland and Wildlife Conservation

Cat Spring-based nonprofit Wildlife Habitat Federation (WHF) will hold a sporting clays fundraiser the afternoon of April 18 at Texas Premier Sporting Arms. The event, presented by Mustang Cat, starts at noon with a catered BBQ lunch and will be followed with refreshments and an awards ceremony with custom trophies. Team registrations are available online at https:// whf-texas.org; pre-registration is required. Texas Premier Sporting Arms is located at 7311 TX-36 in Sealy, Texas.

La Grange Drill Team’s Hard Work Pays Off With Multiple Awards

On February 24, the La Grange High School Leopardette Drill Team competed in the American Dance and Drill Team Houston Regional Dance Championship at Dekaney High School in Houston. These ladies earned a number of awards including Best in Class Runner Up, Best Overall Silver Award, and Sweepstakes for receiving Division 1 ratings for their outstanding performances in their pom, military, and contemporary routines.

La Grange Baseball Beats Smithville 6-1

The La Grange baseball team went to Smithville Tuesday and beat the Tigers 6-1 to even their district record at 1-1. Brayden Horton was the winning pitcher for the Leps, hurling four innings of one run ball with nine strikeouts.
