Lady Leps Pound Manor New Tech 18-0

The La Grange softball team had no trouble with Manor New Tech Monday, winning 18-0 in a game shortened to three innings because of the mercy rule. Haylie Cooper, Alyssa Liccioni, Melissa Gonzales, Avery Marshall and Kylin Brawley all had hits for La Grange. The Lady Leps also walked eight times. Marissa Gonzales and Rielynn Hall combined to limit Manor to just one hit. The Lady Leps are 13-11 overall and 5-1 in district and play at Smithville Saturday.

Last Thursday, the Flatonia Bulldogs hosted Shiner and came away with a 4-2 victory. Titan Targac pitched a gem of a ballgame.

Horns Stun Weimar 6-5

Bryce Stoever scored the wining run on the bottom of the 8th inning as the Schulenburg baseball team beat Weimar 6-5 Tuesday. Aaron Janecek had three hits for the Shorthorns, including a double and a triple.
