Jackrabbits Run-Rule Weimar 12-1 in 7 innings The Serbin Jackrabbits beat the Weimar Vets by a score of 12-1 in a 7-inning run-rule game to win the Community League Baseball Championship at the Fayette County Fairgrounds Ballpark in La Grange last Sunday afternoon. “The Rabbits knew the Vets were going to be bringing their shotguns to this one, but the Rabbits came prepared and destroyed the shots with their bats,” said Serbin Manager Eldor Becker.

• The Round Top-Carmine volleyball team won the consolation title at the Navasota Tournament over the weekend. The Cubettes lost to Franklin before beating Richards and Livington. In the consolation title match Mallory Krause had 17 assists, Jill Eilers had seven kills and Maggie Salinas had 22 digs.
