Woods, Rogers Sign Letters of Intent

On Wednesday, Dec. 21, was National Signing Day for prospective college football players, and two La Grange Leopard football stars official signed to play at the Division 1 level.

Jaren Woods, three-star recruit, signed a letter of intent to play for Baylor University. The 6-foot-5, 278-pound defensive linemen verbally committed to Baylor in June after fielding offers from Texas, Auburn and TCU, among others. Woods was sidelined most of this season for the Leopards after suffering a broken leg in week one. As a junior, Woods posted 61 tackles for the Leopards.

Bravion Rogers, one of the top 100 high school cornerbacks in the nation, signed to play for Texas A&M University on Wednesday. The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder played both ways for the Leps this year, but recruiters liked him most at defensive back.A&M gave him an offer in April. Back in August, Rogers briefly decommitted and took a look at LSU. By September, Rogers was back on board with A&M. Rogers will play in the 2023 Under Armour All-American on Jan. 3 in Orlando.
