Wick a Junior College All-Star

Former La Grange baseball standout Wyatt Wick, who is currently a sophomore pitcher at Galveston College, was selected to play in theTexas/New Mexico National Junior College Athletic All-Star Game last weekend at Dallas Baptist University. Wick pitched one hitless inning in the all-star game and played for the South Team, which beat the North Team 6-3.

As a freshman last year for Galveston College, Wick pitched 37 innings in 17 games with a 3.62 ERA with a fastball that now can reach the low 90s and also a 77-79 mph change-up and 70-73 mph curveball. He is a 2021 graduate of La Grange High School.
