Stokes Wins for Second Week in Row

Texas A&M Corpus-Christi freshman Travis Stokes was the winner in our reader football pick-it contest for the second week in a row. This time he was the only person to get all 10 games right. He won the $100 prize sponsored by Oviedo Auto Group. Travis’ mom Michele is shown here accepting the prize money from Juan Oviedo Jr. We will continue the contest as long as La Grange is in the playoffs. The ballot appears in every Tuesday edition. Deadline to turn in entries is Friday at 5 p.m. at the newspaper office (Yes we know some of the games are being played Thursday, consider that extended deadline our gift to you!).
