Star QB With Deep LG Ties Inks College Deal

Surrounded by family, coaches, and teammates, Tomball senior Jaxyn Faldyn made his collegiate football future official on Wednesday Fed. 4, signing his National Letter of Intent to play for Ouachita University.

Jaxyn is the son of Bradley and Kami Faldyn, both La Grange High School grads. He is the grandson of Allen and Joyce Faldyn Jr. and Janet Anders, all of La Grange.

Jaxyn, a standout dual threat quarterback for the Tomball High Cougars, chose Ouachita after a stellar career, where he recorded 5905 Total yards, 65 Total Touchdowns, 51 Passing Touchdowns, 68% Completion, 121 QBR, 1203 Rushing yards, 11 Rushing Touchdowns averaging 7 yards per carry, 339 Receiving yards, 3 Receiving Touchdowns and averaged 34 yards per punt. He was heavily recruited for his leadership, athletic ability, speed, strong arm, accuracy, and work ethic. Jaxyn also showed versatility playing receiver, kick return and punter for his three years on the Tomball Varsity football team. Before signing with Ouachita, he held offers from programs including Air Force, Lamar, Midwestern State, East Central, Colorado School of Mines and Minot.

“It’s a dream come true,” said Jaxyn Faldyn. “I’ve worked my whole life for this opportunity. I want to thank my parents, grandparents, coaches, and everyone at Tomball High who pushed me to get better every day.”

Tomball High head coach Dave Handal praised Jaxyn not just for his athleticism, but for his character. “He is a leader on and off the field. Ouachita is getting not only a great player but a young man with an incredible work ethic,” said Coach Handal.

Jaxyn plans to major in Business Management and will join the Ouachita Tigers for the upcoming 2026 season.
