This Week’s Football Previews
La Grange vs. Katy Harmony
When: 7 p.m. Friday
Where: La Grange
Records: La Grange is 2-2. Katy Harmony is 0-3.
Of Note:
It should be an explosive homecoming game for La Grange this week as the Leps host a Katy Harmony team that has been listless this season. The Wildcats have played just three games – losing to Hardin-Jefferson 83-0, Houston Westbury 42-6 and Shepherd 50-0. Harmony does not have a home stadium so they are playing all their games on the road this season ... La Grange, meanwhile, is surging having beaten Smithville 66-6 and Giddings 37-14 amidst their two-game win streak. Last week’s bye week came at a good time for the Leps who have been really banged up ... Senior quarterback Eli Gillum leads a balanced attack for the Leps. Dillan Johnson is the leading rusher and Klayton Michalka is the leading receiver ... This is the district opener for both teams. La Grange hosts La Marque next week.
Last meeting: These two teams have never played one another.
