Shorthorns Forever Auction Includes Signed Ball from ‘77 Team

Bidding is underway now through Nov. 24 in the Shorthorns Forever Charity Auction. The auction includes numerous pieces of football memorabilia, including this football autographed by 1977 University of Texas players. Signed by Earl Campbell, Johnnie Johnson (from La Grange), Steve McMichael, Johnny “Lam & Ham” Jones, Russell Erxleben, Vance Bedford, Brad Shearer, Glenn Blackwood, and area High School players Alfred Jackson (from Caldwell), Bert Vasut (from La Grange), Kermit Goode (from Hallettsville), Charles Vaclavik (from Wharton) and Greg Husmann (brother of the late, great Schulenburg coach David Husmann). Other items include a ball and jersey signed by Houston Oilers quarterback Dan Pastorini and a state championship game ball signed by the 1992 Schulenburg Shorthorns.
