NFL Punter Larry Swider of Fayette County Dies at 66

Larry Swider a former NFL punter, who in his later years lived in Fayetteville, died Aug. 7. He was 66. Swider was born in Maine and graduated from high school in Pennsylvania. Swider was a star collegiate punter for the University of Pittsburgh in the 1970s before being drafted in the seventh round of the 1977 NFL draft.
