The Navidad Valley Cattle-Women serving the tri-county area of Fayette, Colorado, and Lavaca counties since 2004, will meet on Wednesday, March 30 at Cowgirl Provisions in Flatonia Members will gather at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is Dutch treat.

The speakers will be Tabitha Carroll and Jim Loos, owners of Cearbhall Mobile Slaughter. Cearbhall (pronounced Carroll - it’s the ancient spelling in Gaelic, the “b” and “h” are silent) Home Slaughter LLC is a mobile slaughter unit that services homesteads and ranches for on site custom exempt butchery. Their tagline is “Your place, your animal, your meat.” Folk’s meat goes straight from their field to their freezer without ever leaving their place. They started in 2016, and through word of mouth only they have grown from a hopeful concept to a full time rolling business. The goal of Cearbhall Mobile Slaughter is producing the freshest meat with minimal stress to the animal, at complete convenience for the owner.
