Lions Season Ends in IV-1A Regional Semis

Abbott ended Fayetteville’s amazing boys basketball season with a 60-58 win Friday at Austin’s Burger Center.

The Lions trailed by nine at halftime but stormed back to pull within one point late in the fourth quarter but couldn’t complete the comeback.

Abbott (19-2) lost to Mc-Cullen County the next day in the regional finals.

Fayetteville, which was making just its fourth trip to the regional tournament in school history, ends its season with a 28-8 record. The Lions had two senior starters, Karson Corn and Logan Fritsch.
