Lions to Face D’Hanis With A State Berth on the Line

The defending state champ Fayetteville baseball team faces its old nemesis D’Hanis next week in the 1A regional finals.

The best-of-three series will be played in Marion. Game 1 will be June 2 at 7 p.m. Game 2 will be June 3 at 5 p.m. with a third game to follow, if necessary, June 3 about 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 2.

The winner of this Fayetteville-D’Hanis series advances to the state semifinals June 8 at Dell Diamond. The 1A state title game is June 9 at 9 a.m.
