LG’s Woods, Ehler Win District Field Event Titles

The District 22-4A track meet began last Wednesday in Taylor, but Thursday’s running finals were postponed until this Tuesday. Distance and Field event finals were held Wednesday. The top four placers in each event advance to the area meet April 19 in La Grange. Here are the La Grange athletes who placed:

Girls 3200 meters

Eleanor Carey was third with a time of 13:27.41 and Faith Greenwood was fourth with a time of 13:30.42.

Boys 3200 Meters

BrodyAbbey was 5th with a time of 11:47.07 and Garrett Buscher was 6th with a tine of 11:52.37.

Girls Discus

Riley Youens was second with a throw of 101-4 and Maddi Fritz was third with a throw of 92-4.

Boys Discus

Jaren Woods was first with a throw of 131-0. Andrew Faske was third with a throw of 123-6 and Dalton Landis was fifth with a throw of 1170. Girls High Jump

Emma Ehler was first with

a jump of 5-0. Kylie Trlicek was fifth with a jump of 4-6.

Boys High Jump

Thai Scott was second with a clearance of 5-10.

Girls Long Jump

Kylie Trlicek was third with a jump of 16-4.75. Ella Nygren was fifth with a jump of 15-11.75.

Boys Long Jump

Eli Roberts was fifth with a jump of 21-8. C.J. Davis was sixth with a jump of 21-7.75.

Girls Pole Vault

Meadow Taylor-Marklin was fifth with a vault of 7-0.

Boys Pole Vault

Clifton Cooper was second with a vault of 13-0. Cordale Knapik was fourth, clearing 10-6. Clayton Cooper was sixth, clearing 9-6.

Girls Shot Put

Riley Youens was third with a distance of 34-4.5.

Boys Shot Put

Jaren Woods was second with a distance of 46-4.5. Anthony Weikel was fifth with a distance of 39-10.

Girls Triple Jump

Landri Hernandez was fifth with a jump of 31-5. Ella Nygren was sixth with a jump of 31-4.25.
