LG’s McIntyre Makes it to State in Powerlifting

The La Grange girls participated in the Region V Regional Powerlifting meet this past weekend in Edinburg. Contestants included Avery Koehl, Teegan Branch, and Danyelle McIntyre. Avery recorded personal best lifts of 325 in Squat and 185 in Bench Press. Teegan Branch recorded a personal best of 155 in the Bench Press. She placed 8th overall in the meet.

Danyelle McIntyre put up a personal best of 310 in the Squat portion of the meet. She also took home 2nd place overall for her weight class with a lifting total of 795. McIntyre will be representing La Grange and Region V in Class 4A at this year’s Women’s State Powerlifting meet in Frisco on Friday, March 17.
