LG’s Diggs Sprints to Two National Indoor Track Titles

Already a must-see runner at track meets around here, La Grange High School track star Austen Diggs is now making a name for himself nationally as well. Diggs competed in the Adidas Indoor Nationals in Virginia Beach this weekend and won national titles in both the 60 meter dash (in a time of 6.92) and in the 200 meter dash (in a time of 21.40.) Both times were personal records for Diggs as he raced against some of the top high school talent in the nation – and beat them.

“I can’t let this be my peak. I have to keep getting better,” Diggs told a reporter after the races.

This was the final big indoor track meet of the season, but he has plenty more outdoor meets with the Leps this spring.
