La Grange Falls at Sealy
The La Grange varsity volleyball team lost to Sealy on the road Tuesday 19-25, 22-25, 2527 as the Lady Leps dropped to 14-17 overall. Kill Leaders were: Maddi Fritz - 9, Camille Gonzalez - 8, Hailey Hill - 7. Dig Leaders were: Jena Jobb - 15, Madison Fritz - 11, Hailey Hill - 11 Ace Leaders were: Jena Jobb - 3, Camille Gonzalez - 2.
Assist Leaders were: Maddi Fritz - 16, Hailey Hill - 10 Block Leaders were: Camille Gonzalez - 3, Kylie Trlicek - 2 The La Grange JV lost to Sealy 12-25, 24-26 to fall to 5-5 overall. The La Grange Freshmen lost to Sealy, 29-30, 17-25 to fall to 5-5 overall. The Freshmen travel to the East Bernard Tournament on Saturday and the JV are here at home for the La Grange Tournament.
District play begins for the Lady Leopards at Smithville next Tuesday.
Fayetteville Downs Flatonia
The Fayetteville volleyball team continues to roll. The Lady Lions (the No. 1-ranked team in Class 1A) played Flatonia Tuesday and beat the Lady Bulldogs in four sets, 25-11, 25-13, 23-25, 25-17. Brooklyn Jaeger had 31 kills, Kayme Schley had 11 and Tara Vitek had three. Marissa Rohde and Peyton Jurecka had five aces each. Jaeger had 18 digs, Schley had 16, Kynley Hurst 14 and Rohde 12. Hurst had 40 assists, and Rohde had five. The Lady Lions are 26-2.
Schulenburg Sweeps Lexington
The Schulenburg volleyball team defeated Lexington 25-12, 25-14, 25-20 Tuesday. Meredith Magliolo had eight kills, MacKenzie Kunschick and Brooke Redding had six and Tamara Otto had five.
Kieryn Adams had five aces, Magliolo had three blocks and Landry Zapalac had 24 assists.
Adams had 17 digs and Avery Helms had seven. The Lady Horns are now 1614 overall.
RTC Wins
The Cubettes beat Mumford Tuesday in four sets. Mallory Krause and Jill Eilers both accomplished a triple double in the match, a rare feat. Krause had 12 kills 17 digs and 31 assists. Eilers had 11 kills, 13 digs and 16 assists. Tess Eilers had 15 kills and 15 digs.
