LG Baseball Impressive in District Opener

The La Grange baseball team got off to a strong start to district play with a 11-1 win at Giddings Friday.

Senior pitcher Trenton Barnes (a Galveston College commit) hurled six innings of two-hit ball with 12 strikeouts. He also had two hits himself. Brayden Horton had three hits, Kyler Lamza had two hits and two runs, Max Dixon scored two runs and Bennett Barber had four walks. The Leps were able to bunt successfully several times Friday and were aided by several Giddings errors.

The Leps host Smithville Tuesday at 7 p.m.
