Lexington Beats La Grange In Softball Season Opener

The La Grange softball team lost its season opener to Lexington Tuesday 3-1.

Hannah Mitchell hit a triple and scored La Grange’s only run. Haedyn Cooper had two hits and an RBI.

La Grange’s Brooke Ulrich pitched a complete game four-hitter with nine strikeouts.

Taylor Akin (the granddaughter of former La Grange head coach Arthur Behrend, who led the Lady Leps to two state titles) pitched a complete game five-hitter with 10 strikeouts for Lexington.
