Leps Jump Into First Place

With a dominating performance Tuesday on the road against then-first place Manor New Tech, the La Grange boys basketball team won 72-49 to jump past the Titans and claim first place in district for themselves.

The Leps are now 1810 overall and 9-2 in district, a half-game ahead of New Tech. La Grange has one more regular season game, next Tuesday at home at 7:30 p.m. against Smithville.

Against New Tech, La Grange was led in scoring by Nate Scott, who had 25 points. Jaxon Cooper added 19.

Tuesday’s win comes on the heels of Monday’s win at Austin Achieve where Scott scored 34.
