Lep Sprinters Shine at Texas Relays

At the Texas Relays last week in Austin, La Grange Austen Diggs finished fifth in the boys 100 meter dash, running a 10.64. Winner Will Henderson of Gilmer won with a 10.45.

• The La Grange 4x100 team of CJ Davis, Phillip Arceneaux, Bravion Rogers and Austen Diggs ran a 42.77 in the prelims (good enough for 8th out of the 64 teams but they did not run on the finals).

• The La Grange 4x200 relay team of CJ Davis, Thai Scott, Jaden Williams and Austen Diggs had the fastest prelim time out of 22 teams with a 1:26.71. They ran a 1:28.55 in the finals to place fourth.

• In the 4x400 relay, La Grange’s CJ Davis, Clayton Knapik, Jacob Chovanetz, Ricky Ramirez combined to run a 3:33.28, which was 44th in the prelims.

• In the javelin throw La Grange’s Riley Youens was fourth with a throw of 127-11.

• In the 4x400 relay, La Grange’s Kylie Trlicek, Ellee Sodolak, Eleanor Carey, Diamond McKenzie were 54th in the prelims with a time of 4:20.25

• In the 4x100 relay, La Grange’s Carley Ulrich, Haylie Cooper, Diamond McKenzie, Kylie Trlicek were 45th with a time of 51.87
