Lady Leps Start District Volleyball Play With a Bang

The La Grange varsity volleyball team started district play in dominating fashion, blasting Smithville on the road Tuesday 25-17, 25-11, 25-20. The win improves the Lady Leps overall record to 15-17.

Maddi Fritz led the Lady Leps in kills with 11 and Hailey Hill added eight. Jenn Jobb led in digs with 13 and Hill and Haylie Cooper had nine each. Maddi Fritz had five aces

and Jobb had four. Fritz led in assists with 16 and Jobb had 11. RileyYouens had two blocks. The La Grange JV defeated Smithville 25-13, 25-21 to improve to 8-7 overall and 1-0 in district. The La Grange freshmen beat Smithville 25-19, 25-7 to improve to 8-8 overall and 1-0 in district. The Lady Lep host Taylor on Friday. Varsity match begins at 5 p.m. with F/JV to follow.
