Lady Leps Lose Overtime Battle to Taylor; Playoffs Begin Monday

Despite 18 points from Landri Hernandez and 17 from Camille Gonzalez, the La Grange girls basketball team lost by one point to Taylor in overtime 53-52 in Manor on Friday.

This game was to decide playoff seeding as both La Grange and Taylor had tied for the District 22-4A title after the regular season. La Grange now goes into the playoffs with the No. 2 seed and will play Monday February 13 at 8 p.m. at Waller High School in the first round against Houton Yates. The winner of that game advances to play the La Vega/Jarrell winner in the second round.
