La Grange Hires Coach Who Won Four State Softball Titles at Weimar

La Grange ISD Monday announced a big-time hire as their new softball coach, Roger Maupin, who won four state softball titles at Weimar before retiring after the 2025 season, but he’s obviously itching to get back in the dugout. And it’s great timing for a La Grange softball team that didn’t make the playoffs this spring, snapping a 28year streak of making the postseason.
