Schulenburg senior volleyball player Kloe Kutac has put her senior hat on display for the Lady Horns by putting up numbers in all stat categories. In a recent playoff game vs. Holland, she led the team in blocks with six, aces with three, and was second in kills with 11. “We appreciate all the hard work she’s done,” said Schulenburg head volleyball coach Donald Zapalac. “Her explosiveness at the net is her main selling point for us. It really opens up our offense and helps keep the defense off balance. She’s been a key cog on this team for three years now. We’re just happy to have her out there.” Kutac also had nine kills in the team’s next playoff win against Thorndale and earned the game-winning point. “We talked about getting more touches on the block and we stepped up our game. With Kloe able to finish that match with a big block on their number one hitter to end the match was a pretty tremendous feat.” Kutac’s clutch nature and ability to provide for her team has awarded her the nomination for this edition’s Player of the Week.
