Round Top-Carmine volleyball player Mallory Krause has been filling the stat sheet heavily for the Lady Cubs. In a recent match against Somerville last Friday, Krause led the team in digs with nine, aces with four, and assists with twelve as her contributions resulted in a three set victory in the team’s district opener. “Mallory’s a key component for our team,” said Round Top-Carmine head volleyball coach Catie Carney. “She plays all the way around. We’ve asked some different things of her this year and she’s been willing to just jump in and do what she can to help us. We’re young and she’s had to step up quite a bit this year. She’s put that on her back and run with it. She’s done a good job.” Krause makes herself a crucial part to Round-Top volleyball by putting up numbers in all aspects of the game, which gives her the go-ahead for this edition’s Player of the Week.
