Jason Vela Wins $500 Football Pick ‘Em Jackpot

Jason Vela was the biggest winner (so far) in the two-year history of The Fayette County Record reader football pick-it contest, sponsored by Oviedo Auto Group) when he correctly picked all 10 winners in last week’s contest and then prevailed over two other perfect ballots in the score prediction tiebreaker. The contest is $100 per week, but the prize rolls over every week that we don’t have a 10-for-10 winner, hence the $500 prize this time after four weeks of no winner. Above Vela, right, is shown collecting his $500 prize from Oviedo Auto Group owner Johnny Oviedo, left. The ballot of games appears in every Tuesday edition of the Record and must be turned in at our newspaper office Fridays by 5 p.m.
