Jaeger Signs With Texas A&M-Corpus

I was really nervous, I don’t know why. I’m just signing a piece of paper, but I have been waiting for this a while. I (verbally) committed last September and I’ve been waiting since then to sign. I really liked the coaches and their personalities. They don’t just care about the volleyball but about you personally. I liked how small the campus is. In a way it reminds me of Fayetteville. It was my dream school because my uncle where there and because of how pretty the beach is ... (Since her season ending knee injury in the regular season finale) it’s been a roller-coaster of emotions. Last week was rough. Today and the past couple of days have helped and I haven’t been thinking about the injury ... I’m hoping to have surgery in the next month and then a lot of physical therapy for six months.

“ The way the last week and half started was tough to deal with (speaking about Brooklyn’s season-ending knee injury). We’ve come to grips with it now and ready to move on to the next step. Brooklyn’s handled it perfectly. At first she was upset but now it’s time to move on and I think the signing day helps with that ...She can have all these trophies and awards, but that doesn’t mean anything compared to the person she has become.”
