Fritsch Shines as a Freshman Pole Vaulter At McNeese State

Fayetteville-native Lawson Fritsch had a stellar freshman year of collegiate pole vaulting at McNeese State, in Lake Charles Louisiana, capped off by a second place finish at the Southland Conference Meet last week in Nacogdoches.
Fritsch cleared a personal best height of 16-9.5 feet last week which is the fourth-best mark in school history.
Fritsch has decided to enter the transfer portal this week and will be deciding on a new college to vault for next season. The coach who recruited Fritsch to McNeese went to South Carolina last September.
