Flatonia’s Mendiola Wins State Powerlifting Title, Sets New State Record By Squatting 450 Pounds
The Flatonia High School Girls Powerlifting team competed at the THSWPA State Meet in Corpus Christi on Wednesday March 16. Senior Guadalupe Mendiola finished 1st in the 181 lb. class of the 1A/2A division. Guadalupe lifted 450 lbs. in the squat, 205 lbs. in the bench press and 380 lbs. in the dead lift for a total of 1055 lbs. Guadalupe set a new State record with her 450 lb. squat. In addition…
