Flatonia’s Law has Bulldogs Flying High
Flatonia junior basketball player Luke Law has been one of the leading scorers for Bulldogs basketball and also takes command of the court as starting point guard, catapulting his team to an impressive 13-1 record while reaching double figures in a number of those games.
“He does a lot of different things for us,” said Flatonia head basketball coach Chris Sodek. “The first thing is, Luke puts a lot of extra time in on his own to get better. He’s up at the gym at night whenever he can get in the gym, putting in all the extra work that helps him become a better player. Luke can score the basketball, but that’s not Luke’s biggest attribute to our team. His biggest attribute to our team is his ability to be the quarterback on the floor. Getting us in what we call from the sidelines or just basically getting the ball where it needs to be, to our other guys that also can score. He’s the guy that’s kind of the floor general and making sure everything is happening, but it is nice that he has the ability to score as well.”
Law provides a strong persona for Flatonia as an upperclassmen as he not only calls the shots, but also puts the ball in the hoop, giving him the nod for this editon’s Athlete of the Week.
